December 19, 2013 — After more than six years as an associate member, Google becomes a full member of the Open Invention Network (OIN), ZDNet reports. The OIN is an organization responsible for defending the Linux ecosystem against patent infringement lawsuits. Something that does, precisely, accumulating patents, which makes available free of charge to companies and entities with one condition: that they do not sue anyone for Linux-related patents.
